BBL™ Treatments

Sciton’s BroadBand Light (BBL™) is a powerful type of intense pulsed light (IPL) that harmlessly penetrates the surface of the skin to bring about changes from within. The table reviews available treatment options.

These BBL treatments are quick, involve minimal discomfort, and require little to no downtime. Most concerns require a series of treatments for optimal results.

BBL HERO

We now offer the BBL HERO, which only adds to BBL’s reputation as the most robust and powerful IPL solutions available on the market today. The groundbreaking HERO treatment is housed on the mJOULE dual wavelength platform and enables our providers to treat the entire body with 4 times the speed, 3 times the peak power, and 2 times the cooling capacity.

The HERO (High Energy Rapid Output) can be combined with the MOXI fractional, non-ablative laser skin rejuvenation treatment that is also part of the mJOULE platform. We can address all of our patients’ concerns with our suite of laser skin treatments.

Halo™ Fractional Laser Treatments

The Halo device combines ablative and non-ablative laser wavelengths to treat both the surface and deeper layers of the skin with tiny microbeams of laser energy. Alternating pinpoints of skin are left untreated to speed up the healing process.

Halo treatments rejuvenate aging and sun-damaged skin on the face and body by targeting a range of concerns, including:

Our experienced providers perform Halo treatments after the skin is prepared with numbing cream. Required downtime depends on the intensity of treatment but is typically 5 to 7 days.

Laser Treatment Options

We use the Sciton Contour TRL® (Tunable Resurfacing Laser) device to help your skin look and feel amazing by addressing your unique concerns and accounting for your available recovery time. Treatment options are listed below—from least to most aggressive—and compared in the table:

NanoLaserPeel™ provides deeper resurfacing than microdermabrasion but is the gentlest of these treatments.
MicroLaserPeel® provides gentle resurfacing that is deeper than the NanoLaserPeel.
Contour TRL™ provides full-field resurfacing (removes the outer layer of skin) to treat significant signs of sun damage and aging.
