Similar to microneedling treatments, the ellacor System uses tiny needles to puncture the skin to create micro-injuries that trigger the body’s natural healing process to generate new collagen and elastin, resulting in smoother, tighter skin as the skin heals. The ellacor System is unique in its treatment, though. Unlike microneedling, the ellacor System uses hollow needles to remove and vacuum away tiny cores of skin, removing up to 8% of skin during a treatment, without visible scarring. The ellacor System’s needles penetrate skin up to 4 mm, resulting in a treatment that reaches the deep layers of the skin to trigger the body’s healing process.

The ellacor System’s tiny needles do not rely on heat or thermal energy, so there is no risk of burning or damaging the skin’s layer, which means the skin heals more quickly than many energy-based skin tightening treatments.

The micro-cores created by the ellacor System during treatment close up quickly, resulting in less discomfort and downtime than laser skin resurfacing treatments, and there’s virtually no potential for scarring thanks to the use of such tiny needles.
