Non-invasive Fat Reduction
A non-surgical alternative to liposuction, CoolSculpting is FDA-cleared for fat reduction on common trouble spots around the midsection without so much as a single anesthetic injection. Using a safe, proven, process called cryolipolysis, CoolSculpting infuses specific areas with controlled cooling, which triggers a decrease in the number of fat cells in the treated area.1 Although CoolSculpting focuses only on fat, we offer other treatments, such as truSculpt™, which reduce both fat and cellulite. One of our aesthetic professionals can help you decide which treatment is right for you. We also offer EMSCULPT, another nonsurgical fat reduction procedure that also builds muscle.
At CaloSpa®, you can expect the best in service and care. You will consult with one of our certified CoolSculpting technicians to determine your personalized course of treatment. During your treatment, a gel pad will be applied to the area in which you want to reduce fat, followed by the CoolSculpting applicator. No anesthetic is required, so no shots are needed.
As the applicator is activated, it will draw up the targeted tissue between its two cooling panels. Then the cooling begins. While CoolSculpting is working, you can read a book, use your tablet or laptop, listen to music, or even doze off for a nap.
Each CoolSculpting treatment requires about 1 hour. Therefore, if you want to treat the hip-waist area on both the right and the left, your treatment session would require about 2 hours. We also offer the option of DualSculpting™ to eligible patients. DualSculpting uses 2 CoolSculpting machines to treat 2 areas at once, reducing total treatment time and maximizing results. Once the procedure is complete, you can walk out of the medi spa and immediately return to your normal activities.
CoolSculpting® Elite in Louisville
Our Louisville med spa offers the latest generation of fat-freezing, called CoolSculpting Elite, which is cleared by the FDA to reduce fat in 9 areas of the body: under the chin and along the jawline, the thighs, abdomen, and flanks, in addition to bra fat, back fat, “banana rolls” under the buttocks, and the upper arms.
CoolSculpting Elite applicators are designed in a C shape, which results in more contact with tissue than the U shape of the original CoolSculpting applicator. This, in turn, results in faster treatment times with up to 18% more surface area treated in a single cycle. And we can use a single CoolSculpting Elite machine to treat 2 areas at the same time.

I love performing BOTOX®/ Dysport® treatments for both women and men. These treatments are affordable, quick, easy, and virtually pain free. Patients go from "virgin" to "addicted" in one short treatment.

My favorite medi spa procedure is BOTOX® Cosmetic. My patients achieve great results with a quick, rather painless procedure, and no downtime. It is affordable and provides instant gratification.

One of my favorite injectable treatments are the neurotoxins. The treatment is quick, effective and offers beautiful results that can last for months.
Q. Will my CoolSculpting treament hurt?
A. Women and men have described CoolSculpting as producing a sensation of cold and a tight, pulling feeling, but most people do not experience pain. The area soon becomes numb, allowing you to relax and enjoy your book, movie or nap.
Q. What about recovery and results?
A. CoolSculpting does not involve anesthesia or incisions, so no recovery period is required. Its precise cooling destroys only fat cells; surrounding tissue and cells remain undamaged.2 Some tingling, numbness, redness, light bruising or mild swelling may result following the treatment, but these are temporary, lasting only a few days. Your regular activities will not be restricted or interrupted. You can even go to the gym following your treatment.
Q. How soon will I see results?
A. Following treatment, the body begins its natural metabolic process of breaking down and flushing out the damaged fat cells. While patient experiences vary, results typically begin to appear several weeks after treatment. Gradual fat reduction will continue, with final results typically showing after about 2 to 4 months.
Q. How long will my results last?
A. The fat cells that die do not grow back; however, those that remain can expand with future weight gain. With consistent exercise and a balanced, healthful diet, you should be able to maintain your results. Plus, you can receive additional treatments, either to further reduce fat from the same areas or from other areas.
Q. Is CoolSculpting right for me?
A. CoolSculpting does not replace diet and exercise and is not designed as a weight loss treatment. Think of CoolSculpting as a very effective touch-up treatment. If you are satisfied with your weight but cannot get rid of persistent fat from certain areas, despite regular exercise and a healthful diet, then CoolSculpting may be right for you. Scheduling a consultation with our board-certified plastic surgeon is the best way to learn if CoolSculpting is right for you.
