Laser spider vein treatment requires no downtime or sedation, and your procedure may be completed in under an hour. The ClearV laser produces a beam of energy that is absorbed only by pigmented vein structures in the skin without harming surrounding healthy tissue. The laser energy causes the vein to dissolve. A brief pinching sensation is very common as the laser device releases pulses of energy. Your first spider vein treatment may be slightly more uncomfortable than any additional treatments, and you can always request a topical anesthetic to maximize your comfort.
Improving the appearance of spider veins is a gradual process. Each treatment causes the unwanted veins to begin to slowly dissolve, and maximum improvement typically won’t be seen for several weeks, or even months. Right after treatment, it is not uncommon for veins to appear darker and more pronounced before beginning to fade.
