M. Bradley Calobrace, MD, FACS

M. Bradley Calobrace, MD, FACS is a board-certified, Los Angeles-trained plastic surgeon who established CaloAesthetics® Plastic Surgery Center and CaloSpa® Rejuvenation Center in an effort to bring the latest technology and techniques in plastic surgery to the Louisville area. He has established himself as a leader in cosmetic surgery and received recognition in Louisville Magazine as one of Louisville’s “Top Docs” and “Best of Louisville.” Dr. Calobrace is certified by The American Board of Plastic Surgery and is a member of numerous professional organizations, including the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, Kentucky Society of Plastic Surgeons, and American College of Surgeons. He is also a member of the prestigious American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, and he was honored in May 2015 to lead a key presentation at that group’s convention in Montreal. Read more.

Juan Quintero, MD

Dr. Juan Quintero is an award-winning plastic surgeon who joined CaloAesthetics® Plastic Surgery Center and CaloSpa® Rejuvenation Center in June 2023. He is a past president of the Kentucky Society of Plastic Surgeons and a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the Kentucky Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Known for his attention to detail and for achieving natural-looking results, Dr. Quintero specializes in performing aesthetic surgical procedures, especially facelift, breast enhancement, tummy tuck, and injectable treatments, including BOTOX® Cosmetic and dermal fillers. Floyds Knobs, IN

Brittany McWhorter DNP, AGPCNP-C

Brittany, a Louisville native, is a distinguished University of Louisville graduate practicing since 2016. Her work in inpatient neurology marked her early career, and she further expanded her horizons as a travel nurse across the U.S. Her academic journey culminated in her graduation from Johns Hopkins University with her Doctor of Nursing Practice, specializing in Adult/Gerontology Primary Care. Certified through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, Brittany’s passion for making others feel their best led her to a career in aesthetics.

Beyond her professional life, she finds fulfillment in exploring new destinations, trying new restaurants, and embracing the outdoors.

Olivia Hall, RN

Olivia Hall has been a Registered Nurse since 2014. She has worked in many hospitals and inpatient/outpatient facilities, gaining diverse knowledge and skills in my nursing career. Since 2019, she has worked in aesthetics in the OR/clinic, solely focusing on injecting. Becoming an aesthetic nurse injector has been a deep-rooted passion, both artistically and scholastically, to educate and enhance each patient’s natural beauty. Her artistic approach ensures that each patient’s unique features are enhanced, leaving them feeling confident and beautiful.

Ashley Hall, APRN

Ashley attended Georgetown College, where she completed the dual-degree program, graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing Arts from Georgetown College and a Bachelors in Nursing from the University of Kentucky. Upon graduation, she worked as a medical-surgical nurse at the University of Kentucky for six years. As a bedside nurse, Ashley was a preceptor for nursing students and newly hired nurses, which fueled a passion for educating others. While working, she earned her Doctorate of Nursing Practice from the University of Kentucky and is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Ashley has worked in medical aesthetics and weight loss management for 2 years where she has found a deep passion for aesthetics and educating her patients to look and feel their best with natural-looking results.

Lauren Meade, PA-C

Lauren Meade is an expert injector at CaloSpa® Lexington. She has worked as an aesthetic injector since 2014, starting her career in plastic surgery in Chicago. Lauren has trained under renowned plastic surgeons, dermatologists, and the industry’s best aesthetic medical providers and has worked as a GAIN national trainer for Galderma since 2019.

Lauren earned her Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Kentucky and holds her national certification through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. She is a director and co-founder of KAMAP (Kentucky Association of Medical Aesthetic Providers), a non-profit that elevates the practice of medical aesthetic providers across the state. Her passion is providing her patients with high-quality, safe, and effective injection techniques that produce beautiful, naturalistic results that respect an individual’s unique identity.

Bethany Shively, DNP, FNP-BC, PMHNP-C

After completing her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Western Kentucky University in 2011, Bethany spent the first few years of her nursing career in medical-surgical nursing and operating room nursing. Bethany joined the CaloAesthetics® team in 2013, where she spent two years as an operating room nurse. Bethany then graduated from the Medical University of South Carolina in 2015 with a Master of Science in Nursing and a Doctor of Nursing Practice, and she obtained certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner. At that time, she began functioning as a Nurse Practitioner at CaloAesthetics®, performing various procedures, including neurotoxins, dermal fillers, bioidentical hormone replacement, cellulite treatments, women’s health treatments, and various other injectables and procedures.

In 2020, she completed an additional degree and board certification as a Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.

Dawn Recktenwald, RN, Clinical Lead Nurse

Dawn Recktenwald is a Registered Nurse employed by CaloAesthetics® and CaloSpa® since 2000. She has also been an accredited nurse injector since 2004.

She works closely with Drs. Calobrace and Quintero to provide patients with both surgical and non-surgical options for optimal facial aesthetic results. Dawn understands that each patient’s needs are as different and unique as each patient’s face.

She prides herself on listening to each patient’s concerns and desires. Dawn will work with you to develop a treatment plan that fits you. Dawn keeps up to date with multiple state-of-the-art and advanced training sessions throughout the year. Dawn uses neuromodulators and dermal fillers from Allergan, Galderma, Merz, and Revance. Dawn has built a happy and loyal clientele with superb care and natural results.

When she is not busy at work, she spends time with her husband, Dan, and their two children. She also attends her son and daughter’s sporting events. She enjoys shopping, traveling, reading, and spending time with her family and friends.

Hannah Bueno, RN, BSN

Hannah is a certified nurse injector, trained in several aesthetic modalities, including dermal fillers, neurotoxins, PRF injections, thread lifts, Morpheus 8, and MiraDry®.

Hannah graduated from the University of Missouri in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. After graduation, Hannah began her career as an Emergency Room nurse at The University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, KS. In 2018, Hannah transitioned into aesthetic nursing, where she developed a passion for making patients feel as good on the outside as they do on the inside.

One of Hannah’s favorite treatments at CaloSpa® is lip filler to create the perfect pout. Hannah enjoys collaborating with other team members at CaloSpa® to create a cohesive treatment plan for all patients and their unique goals.

When Hannah is not at CaloSpa®, she enjoys traveling with her husband and cuddling her Goldendoodle, Scotty!

Katie Chesser, APRN, FNP-C

Katie is an accomplished, board-certified nurse practitioner who has been practicing medical aesthetics since 2017. She graduated from Bellarmine University in 2011 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

She worked as a nurse in critical care and trauma emergency room before continuing on to graduate as a Nurse Practitioner from Bellarmine University in 2014. From there, Katie gained experience in dermatology research, hormone optimization, and medical aesthetics.

Katie is dedicated to building strong patient-provider relationships and focuses on achieving natural results in a safe and compassionate atmosphere. With a passion for advancing the aesthetics industry and a solid commitment to continued education and collaboration, Katie also acts as a national aesthetic GurU Trainer for Revance. This company owns DAXXIFY® and the RHA® line of fillers. Her goal for each appointment is to enhance a patient’s natural beauty and overall sense of self, creating a positive impact that extends well beyond the clinic walls.

Lacey M. McCauley MMS, PA-C

Lacey is a licensed and national board-certified Physician Assistant with combined clinical, surgical, cosmetic dermatology, and aesthetic experience. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a focus in Natural Science from the University of Louisville. Lacey later graduated with her Master of Medical Science from Nova Southeastern University in Jacksonville, Florida. After graduation, she practiced medical and cosmetic dermatology in Tampa, Florida, and later relocated to Nashville, Tennessee. There, she expanded her clinical base to include Mohs and dermatological surgery. After years of private practice there, her passion and dedication to skincare and education flourished. This passion led her to become a preceptor for the Trevecca University Physician Assistant Program. She joined CaloSpa® in 2018 and is currently the Clinical Spa Director. Aside from being an expert injector, she continues expanding her laser and procedure base in aesthetics. Lacey has always had a strong interest in cosmetic and aesthetic medicine and is excited to share her dermatologic education and skillset with her new patients.

Outside of practice, Lacey is happily married and a proud mother of three young children. She enjoys farming, gardening, and spending time with loved ones.

Madison Callery, DNP, APRN, PATRN

Madison Callery is a board-certified Advanced Practice Registered Nurse with a focus in Family Practice. She received the Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from the University of Louisville in August of 2023. Before becoming DNP, APRN, Madison spent 2.5 years working in a local emergency department before joining the CaloAesthetics® team in 2021.

Today, Madison specializes in weight loss management and has a strong passion for women’s health initiatives, especially as it pertains to sexual wellness across the lifespan. Madison prioritizes her ability to create safe, comfortable, and welcoming atmospheres for all patients.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends and travelling to new places.

Nicole Beams, BSN

Nicole Beams graduated from the University of Louisville with her BSN in 1996. She began her aesthetic career with CaloAesthetics® and CaloSpa® in 2011 and has been an ExpertInjector with CaloSpa® since 2015. Nicole uses neuromodulators and HA fillers from all the top brands. She listens to her patients and their goals and will develop a plan with you.

When she isn’t busy at work, she spends time with her husband, Brian, and two children. They enjoy U of L sporting events, hiking, kayaking, and spending time with her fur baby, Poppy.

Our Clinical Aestheticians, Body Contouring Specialists, & Laser Specialists

In addition to Dr. Calobrace, the CaloSpa^® staff includes several highly-trained, licensed, and certified aestheticians and a laser specialist. Each has been individually selected to be part of the CaloSpa^® team of professionals because of their attitudes centered on the care of our clients as well as their level of knowledge and experience. Our aestheticians are skin care and laser specialists with a vast knowledge of the physician-directed skincare products and treatments we offer. They specialize in cellulite treatments, laser hair removal, CoolSculpting®, makeup, permanent makeup and other CaloSpa^® treatments.

Our body contouring specialists who are specially trained to achieve the best possible results from body contouring treatments to firm and tone skin on the arms, legs, chest, abdomen and back and reduce the appearance of cellulite.

Classique Stanfield, Clinical Aesthetician

A Clinical Aesthetician, Classique joined CaloSpa® in 2021 after graduating from PJ’s Cosmetology School in 2020. She is dedicated to fostering relationships and delivering clinically proven results to our patients.

In her free time, Classique spends time with friends and family.

 

Sayre Grimes, Clinical Aesthetician

Sayre is a native of Southern Indiana. After 3 years of direct patient care in hospital and outpatient settings, she decided to integrate her passion for skin into her career. Since 2022, she has been a licensed aesthetician, and she is eager to continue to expand her knowledge! She stays up to date on the latest and most effective treatment methods to ensure all of her patients love the skin they are in.

Jaclyn Favorite, Clinical Aesthetician

Jaclyn is dedicated to enhancing your skin’s health with ethical, results-focused treatments. Having been a Clinical Aesthetician since 2009, her passion for skin began while growing up and working in a Dermatology office for years. Jaclyn has experience in all facial services, multiple laser modalities, microneedling, MiraDry®, chemical peel services, dermaplaning, INFINI, and Coolsculpting® Elite (she attended CoolSculpting University in 2022).

She enjoys being a mom, cooking, boating, and being outside in her spare time. Jaclyn is committed to fostering confidence and well-being through her advanced expertise and personalized care at CaloSpa®.

Ashley Hatfield, Clinical Aesthetician & Body Contouring Expert

Ashley, an experienced medical aesthetician, holds multiple laser and face treatment certifications and has been practicing since 2014 at CaloSpa®. Specializing in body contouring techniques like Coolsculpting® Elite, EMSCULPT®, and EMTONE®, she is dedicated to helping patients feel confident in their skin. Ashley’s positive mindset and outgoing nature extend to her role as a team player.

Outside work, she enjoys staying active at the gym, cherishes time with her two dogs, and happily shares life with her spouse.

Kamila Sanders, Clinical Aesthetician

Kamila has been a licensed medical aesthetician since 2013. After finishing her general esthetic program, she returned to continue her education in advanced esthetics. Kamila specializes in skin rejuvenating treatments such as laser light-based therapy, microneedling, chemical peels, and HydraFacial®.

She is passionate about creating custom skincare regimens focusing on skin education. Her vast knowledge of skincare lines and products allows her to explain to clients how specific ingredients work to improve and enhance their skin. She has dedicated her career to helping clients achieve their best skin through personalized treatment plans.

Outside work, Kamila loves to travel; she has visited 25 countries and enjoys spending time with her shepherd dog, Lucy.

Karen Stickrod, Lead Managing Aesthetician

Karen is a Licensed Medical Aesthetician & Licensed Cosmetologist dedicated to enhancing your skin’s health with ethical, result-focused treatments. Having been an Aesthetician since 2000, her passion for skin began during her teenage years when she experienced her own struggle with acne. Understanding the physical and mental concerns with this disorder drove her to dive deeper into what predispositions someone to have this disorder and how to individualize treatment.  A whole world was opened during this process, and thus, she started her skincare/aesthetic journey.  Karen’s world has expanded since 2000, and so has her aesthetic journey.  Since 2002, she has been fortunate enough to work for one of the country’s most innovative and educated practices. This has given Karen a very expansive exploration into laser technologies, treatments, and skin care and helped her understand the importance of inner health for outer beauty.

Karen spends her free time enjoying her family, focusing on her passion for physical and inner health, and continuously expanding her knowledge base in the ever-growing world of aesthetics.

Katy Jo Groft, Clinical Aesthetician & Body Contouring Expert

Katy Jo Groft is a clinical aesthetician and lead body contouring specialist who has been practicing since 2010. Katy Jo specializes in advanced laser treatments and non-surgical body contouring treatments. Katy regularly attends national training meetings to bring the latest techniques and knowledge back to CaloSpa® to further her education and understanding of modalities offered in our facilities. She is hugely motivated by results-driven procedures to provide her patients with the highest satisfaction and thorough patient care and education.  Katy is passionate about noninvasive procedures focusing on body contouring, skin tightening, and textural irregularities. She prides herself on choosing treatments that will address her patients’ concerns and meet or exceed their expectations at the best value.

Katy enjoys dancing and singing in her kitchen in her free time with her two young children.

Kelsey Hupp, Clinical Aesthetician

With almost a decade of experience in the aesthetic world, Kelsey Hupp found a home with us here at CaloSpa® in 2020. Beginning her training in 2016, she gained experience in her field through day spas and cosmetics, which ultimately led to her passion for medical aesthetics.

Kelsey specializes in facials, chemical peels, microneedling/microneedling with RF, dermaplaning, medical grade skincare products, and a variety of laser enhancements (i.e., laser hair removal, pigmentation issues, vein issues, aging, and more). She prides herself on being a trustworthy, reliable professional who connects with her patient’s needs as the foundation of her career. Her passion for her endeavors speaks for itself in her attention to detail—ensuring every interaction with the patient is one where they are seen, comfortable, and well taken care of.

When not in the treatment room, she spends time with her two cats, Siobhan and Bertram, and indulges in her artwork.

Meredith Steinmetz, Clinical Cosmetologist

Meredith has over 20 years of experience as a licensed cosmetologist and continuous education. The beauty of this business is constantly learning through the constant training and educators that CaloSpa® provides. Her education and training with CaloSpa® started in 2016. Her main focus for every patient is safety, education, and building relationships with them to meet their aesthetic goals. Meredith is passionate about creating a tailored skin regimen to fit anyone’s needs.

Meredith likes to spend time with her family, her husband, and 15-month-old twin boys, holistic homesteading, and gardening.

The massage therapists at CaloSpa^® are highly trained professionals who are licensed and certified providers. In addition to the massage treatments using varying techniques, our massage therapists also perform body treatments such as cupping, and therapeutic treatments such as Deep Tissue Massage and Lymphatic Massage.

Jordan Cox, Licensed Massage Therapist

Jordan Cox graduated from the Lexington Healing Arts Academy and has been a Licensed Massage Therapist since 2010. With over a decade of experience, he has performed thousands of massage therapy sessions.

Over the years, Jordan has become best known for his therapeutic deep tissue technique. With his knowledge of human anatomy, he can identify specific points of chronic tension and stress and bring deep relaxation to those areas. Jordan incorporates multiple modalities, such as Shiatsu and Trigger Point Therapy, to provide comprehensive treatment. His main goal is for clients to feel free in their own bodies.

Emily Petty, Licensed Massage Therapist

Emily is a Louisville native and has been practicing massage therapy since 2012. Every session with Emily is tailored to the individual, whether that’s focusing on one area for a chronic pain client or helping someone to decompress after a long week. Depending on everyone’s goals, she may use several different modalities in a single session and is happy to educate clients on them. Emily is constantly thinking of ways to learn to enhance her craft and expand her knowledge base of the body and ways to improve wellness.

When Emily isn’t at CaloSpa®, she spends time outdoors, reading or watching true crime shows.

Michelle Lasley, Body Contouring Expert, Licensed Massage Therapist

Michelle Lasley has been a licensed massage therapist (LMT) since 2011. Her passion for holistic healing led her to change her career to massage therapy.

Michelle has diversified her practice in LMT in chiropractic and obstetrics and gynecology healthcare settings. She holds additional certifications in cupping therapy, Kinesio taping, and manual lymph drainage and has additional training in plastic surgery recovery and fibrosis massage.

Michelle joined Louisville-based medispa, CaloSpa®, in 2017.  Governor Andy Beshear appointed her to serve on the Kentucky Board of Massage Therapy in 2020, and she is currently serving her second term in this role.

With her knowledge of human anatomy and excellent palpation skills, Michelle expanded her role at CaloSpa® Rejuvenation Center by becoming a Body Contouring Expert in 2020.
