ThermiRF Treatments

The ThermiRF device uses radiofrequency technology, which has been employed in various medical specialties for more than 75 years. Our highly trained technicians precisely locate an area for treatment before applying a dose of radiofrequency energy. This energy stimulates structures deep within the skin to produce beneficial elements that keep skin firm and youthful looking.

We perform these FDA-approved treatments at our medical spas in Louisville and Lexington, Kentucky. The temperature-controlled treatments are comfortable and safe for all skin types and for both light and dark complexions. In some cases, we might recommend other skin tightening and anti-wrinkle treatments.

The Procedure

ThermiRase™ Wrinkle Treatments

ThermiRF can be used as an alternative to BOTOX® Cosmetic injections. The treatment harnesses radiofrequency technology to release the muscles that causes facial lines. Neurotoxins such as BOTOX and Dysport® have been popular for this condition in the past, but ThermiRF’s ThermiRase procedure produces longer-lasting muscle relaxation of frown lines. We use ThermiRase to treat glabellar frown lines (lines between the brows that look like the number 11).

First, we apply a local anesthetic. Then, a probe inserted just under the skin locates the nerve that causes the facial muscle to contract. We then send radiofrequency energy to the nerve to relax it. Results are immediate and last for more than 2 years.

ThermiTight™ Skin Tightening & Fat Reduction

ThermiRF also stimulates the natural production of collagen for tightening and smoothing the skin of the face, neck, and body. We use the radiofrequency device to deliver a dose of energy to targeted fat cells and areas where the patient wants tighter skin. Our clinicians adjust the temperature to ensure comfortable treatment. Results appear in 6 to 12 weeks as the body naturally flushes out targeted fat and the skin tightens.
